Watch Chilling First Trailer For Thriller Series Yaga
Carrie-Anne Moss stars in the series inspired by Baba Yaga lore
Her voice will haunt you. Sky have released the first chilling trailer teaser for Canadian mystery thriller series Yaga.
The eight part series is coming to the channel in the autumn starring Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek). The series does look to have a supernatural tone especially as it’s inspired by the Eastern European mythology of Baba Yaga. A Slavic witch lives on a spinning hut with chicken legs, or legendary nickname the Russians gave John Wick.
Yaga takes us to a small coastal townwhich private PI Rapp (Reid) investigating the disappearence of a young heir. It seems him at odds with a university professor, number of prime suspects, secrets and a ancient magic.
Additional cast includes Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, and Hiro Kanagawa, along with Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal.
Synopsis | YAGA follows Rapp (Noah Reid), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.
Yaga will be available exclusively in the UK and Ireland on Sky and Streaming Service NOW this October. If you live in the U.S and Canada, AMC will stream series, HBO Max rest of Europe.
