The Awards season is finally underway with The Golden Globes the first big awards ceremony. Coralie Fargreat‘s The Substance was up for several awards with one win, a rare horror win!

The film is currently available to watch at MUBI who have released this fantastic behind the scenes Featurette. The 30 minute promo dives into how this film was made including those body horror moments. Also the director’s vision for her film and the message it delivers, which becomes a personal quest.

We’re only at the start of the Awards season and we expect this film will be in the running for many more. 2025 London Film Critics Circle Awards, it’s up for 6 noms and next week BAFTAs will announce it’s nominations. Could we be looking at more nominations, hopefully yes and well done to Demi Moore in her first acting award!
