Could The Walking Dead’s The Whisperer’s Arrive Earlier Than Expected?

Fans of The Walking Dead who have following been following the comic book  (and TV Show) waited a very long time to see the comic book’s nefarious villain Negan make his TV Debut. As we know He appeared at the end of season 6 and then broke our hearts at the start of season 7. Many people may argue is he really a villain, some may be puzzled at fans excitement at his arrival.

This also meant some of the best storylines from the comics have or about to appear on our Television screens. Season 7 has been a lot slower paced which has frustrated many viewers but keep the faith, it’s going to hopefully get better.Could it mean the introduction of a new evil, a group…The Whisperers?

According to Comicbook who recently had an interview with The Walking Dead showrunner, Scott Gimple that the iconic group may be introduced earlier than expected. If you know comics history, The Tv series is roughly around Issues 100-109 and The Whisperers don’t appear until #130.

“If we’ve gotten this far without saying anything about them, I’d like the audience to discover this group when it’s on screen,” said Gimple. “I will say … I mean, it’s not the Whisperers. I will also say, though, that it’s not impossible that the Whisperers could come along or aspects of them could come along earlier than the timeline of the book, but certainly not this early.”

Over the seven seasons, it’s not unusual for the TV Show to break the rules and twist some of the storylines, introduce certain things or even new characters.This is only a rumour and nothing has been confirmed possibly teased, there’s no evidence it will happen. What possibly could be sparking these rumours is Episode 6 (airing 28th November) when we meet Terra and Heath. It looks like they come under attack from a mysterious secretive group living in the forest and any images don’t suggest they might The Whisperers. There’s nothing to say they might not be them either and could be a tease.

For the mean time, Negan is just enough to handle as an all out war is coming and the old Rick we all love will once again be one our screens. There is an 2-year gap between the All Out War  storyline and The Whisperers storyline.
