Once Upon A Dream Disney Releases New Maleficent Trailer

Last night’s Grammy Awards marked the debut of of Disney’s new trailer for Maleficent which makes us ‘dream’ once again thanks to Lana Del Rey‘s haunting rendition.
Last week ‘a new promo’ leaked online for Disney’s latest which has now been taken offline but don’t despair this new video does deliver much more than the leaked trailer. If your a star not renowned for your ‘villainess’ roles why not go all out have a playful time been the baddie and it seems this is what Angelina Jolie has done here. If you think Maleficent is going to be another Mirror Mirror style movie this trailer proves the film has a lot more scope with Jolie’s creepy edge and the fantastical creatures that populate the film even get a look.
Most of all this new trailer is as much promoting the film as it is Lana Del Rey’s song ‘Once Upon A Dream’ an evocative rendition but does the song and film’s tone suggest what demographic Maleficent is aiming for? Whatever age group you can sign us on the dotted line we’re sold! You can download the song for free at Google Play Here!

Synopsis
“Maleficent”—the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
