Magnolia Pictures have released the official trailer for MAIN STREET starring Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth,Ellen Burstyn, Patricia Clarkson, Amber Tamblyn. It’s  a film i’ve honestly not heard about and it seems it was made around 2009! Anything with the Oscar winning actor in it always seems highlighted a little more than others but this one seems to have slipped under the radar. love hearing actors who have to act with another accent(Bloom, Firth) sometimes its perfect but alot of the time its pretty obvious like something out of the Dick Van Dyke of accents other times not bad and in this movies case best way to see how good you are when you have actors such as Burrstyn, Clarkson to act side by.
From Horton Foote, Oscar winning screenwriter of To Kill a Mockingbird and Tender Mercies, comes MAIN STREET, a moving ensemble drama starring Oscar winner Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom, Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson, Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, and Andrew McCarthy. The lives of the residents of a small Southern city are changed forever by the arrival of a stranger with a controversial plan to save their decaying hometown.
Sadly when you watch this trailer you could see why this one escaped the radar as it looks like a tv movie you would expect channel 5 to show on weekdays. No word on the release in UK however for American fans you can catch this movie on VOD from August 5th or September 29th when it has a limited release nationwide.
