Toni Collette Is The ‘Boss Lady’ In Mama Mafia UK Trailer

Signature Entertainment have released the UK Trailer for Mobster comedy Mama Mafia, starring Toni Collette who is now the ‘boss lady’ of the Mafia!

When you inherit something, you always hope it will have a positive impact on you and family. In this one her character Kirstin unexpectedly becomes the head her family’s business, the Mafia! All thanks to her grandfather with help from the Firm’s trusted consigliere (played by Monica Bellucci) defying expectations.

This comedy if anything is a parody of mobster sub-genre. Don’t expect Catherine Harwicke‘s (Twilight Saga) to be like a funny version of The Godfather, it’s nowhere near it. I don’t like to be blunt, this doesn’t look funny at all, I do hope the film proves me wrong…

From suburban mom to mafia don, this Toni Collette comedy will leave you in stitches. Mafia Mamma follows a normal American woman (Toni Collette, Hereditary) who unexpectedly inherits her grandfather’s mafia empire in Italy. Guided by the firm’s trusted consigliere (Monica Bellucci, The Matrix franchise), she hilariously defies everyone’s expectations, including her own, as the new head of the family business. Also starring Sophia Nomvete (Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Mafia Mamma is directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), written by J. Michael Feldman (A.P. Bio) and Debbie Jhoon (Kevin from Work).

The film also stars Sophia Nomvete , Alfonso Perugini, Giulio Corso, and Alessandro Bressanello.
