Tom Holland Talks First Day on Spider-Man: Brand New Day
After filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day started earlier this month, Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) has admitted that putting on the suit felt “different this time”.
On Sunday, Holland posted a video to his 63 million followers on his Instagram recapping his first day back in the super suit. โMy fourth-ever day one on Spider-Man,โ he said in the video. โYou know, itโs funny putting the suit on. It feels different this time somehow. Itโs also the first time weโve ever had fans on set for day one. So, itโs really exciting to share this with them”. Before adding, โIโm just going to do my best. Hopefully get it right. No pressureโ
The recap video continues the latest approach in the early marketing for the film, with Sony previously releasing a video earlier in the month showing Tom Holland in his latest suit for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This time around, the new suit shows a larger spider on his chest, with the suit looking closer to Tobey Maguireโs and Andrew Garfieldโs suits in their respective Spider-Man films.
It’s been previously announced that Mark Ruffalo will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Bruce Banner/the Hulk alongsideย Michael Mando as the Scorpion and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. Sadie Sink has also been confirmed to be joining the cast, although her role is currently under wraps.
Plot details are so far being kept under wraps on the film, although it has been confirmed that Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing the film, and Chris McKenna/Erik Sommers have returned to write the script. The film looks to pick up the story from the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Spider-Manโs real identity as Peter Parker was erased from everyoneโs memory, including friends, family, and his girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya).
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is due to be released on July 31, 2026.
