The UK Trailer For The Origin Of Evil Has ‘Daddy Issues’

When inheritance and children get thrown into the mix, it’s trouble. Knives Out anyone? Blue Finch Films have released the UK Trailer for Sébastien Marnier’s The Origin Of Evil and it has ‘daddy issues’.
The film stars Laure Calamy (Call My Agent!) who plays a 40 something, financially struggling. She turns to her estranged wealthy father for help and fit in with her ‘new’ family’. Only to find herself entangled in her new family’s web of deceit and suspicion.

Written and directed by Sébastien Marnier (Faultless, School’s Out), this stylish thriller follows Stephane, who after living in financial precarity, decides to reach out to her incredibly wealthy estranged father. As Stephane attempts to fit in with her father’s extravagant new family, she soon becomes entangled in the suspicion and deceit that lurks within the beautifully appointed mansion by the sea.
The Origin Of Evil has screened at Venice International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and BFI London Film Festival and stars Laure Calamy (Call My Agent!), Doria Tillier (La Belle Époque), Dominique Blanc (Queen Margot, Indochine) and Jacques Weber (Don Juan, Cyrano de Bergerac).
The film also stars Doria Tillier, Dominique Blanc, Jacques Weber, Suzanne Clément, Céleste Brunnquell, and Véronique Ruggia Saura. The Origin Of Evil will get a UK and Irish cinema release from 29th March.
