Mona Fastvold’s The Testament Of Ann Lee has been creating a big buzz since it’s debut at this year’s Venice Film Festival. Searchlight Pictures are taking advantage of the buzz to unleash the film’s first Trailer and Amanda Seyfried wants to create an utopia.
The last 12 months have been a successful for Fastvold writing the screenplay for The Brutalist with her partner in crime Brady Corbet. That streak might be continuing with may critics praising Seyfried’s performance as ‘Oscar worthy’.
The Testament Of Ann Lee is all about the story of Ann Lee (Seyfried), the founder of the devotional sect The Shakers. The leader who preached gender and social equality, this is her story to build a utopian society.
This film also stars Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Abbott, and Stacy Martin.

Searchlight Pictures will release The Testament of Ann Lee in UK and Irish Cinemas from 20th February 2026.
