The Stath’ Is Back In Mechanic 2: Resurrection Trailer

We always knew about The Stath’ and his action film credentials , last Summer even had a chance to prove his comedic ones in Spy. This August Jason Statham will return to one of his old stomping grounds with Mechanic 2: Resurrection, check out the UK trailer…

He may not have the moves like Jagger but Statham has the moves of a solid action star from his physique to martial arts. Crank, Transporter movies even The Expandables have proven the British actor has the capability. Chuck may have killed goats from his stare but remember The Stath’ can kill you with a spoon!

The Mechanic  Arthur Bishop (Statham) thought he’d escaped his former deadly life and disappeared. But now somebody’s found him, and kidnapped the woman he loves. Neither one of them will get out alive unless he completes a diabolical list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world.

This is Statham’s bread and butter type of film that let’s him do what he does best kick, punch, shoot the bad guys. He was ok as a bad guy himself in the last Fast&Furious film but returning as Arthur Bishop a sequel to a film The Mechanic some believe was a underrated film will please his fans. As the trailer reveals the mayhem, carnage more straight forward though possibly smaller scale to 2011 film. We’re not expecting outstanding acting, riveting dramatic performances, or original storylines just the stath’ delivering the beat down on some bad guys.

Tommy Lee Jones provides the villianary with his silly souful facial whiskers, it’s a part we rarely see the veteran actor play he certainly looks like he’s having fun.There’s no corrupt governments or secret agents just nasty rich elite folks who think money is power.

Mechanic 2: Resurrection will arrive in UK&Ireland on 26th August, co-starring Jessica Alba, Michelle Yeoh directed by German director Dennis Gansel.
