The Stath Goes Rogue In The Beekeeper 2 First Trailer
The buzz will be back in January and The Stath has been busy, in The Beekeeper 2. Amazon MGM Studios have released the official First Trailer and our man has made himself the most dangerous operative, who can stop him?
The last couple of years have not been kind for Jason Statham critically. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know his films won’t win Oscars, they can deliver a fun popcorn film. A Working Man was dull that found success at Prime Video, Shelter faired better giving our man a chance to act. Mutiny loved by the hardcore fans but was flat and very slow to kick-off.
David Ayer (Heart Of The Beast) as stepped back and action maestro Timo Tjahjanto (Night Comes For Us, The Shadow Strays, Nobody 2) stepping in to direct. The Beekeeper 2 sees Adam Clay (Statham) go up against fellow Beekeepers, a ‘busy man’ and wanted man. He has to go rogue and the most powerful man in the U.S, the president of the United States.
I haven’t seen The Beekeeper personally, Scott J.Davis did review it for the site. Scott wasn’t the biggest fan calling it “ridiculous and preposterous in equal measure, bordering on parody at times“. Here’s hoping this will be a fun popcorn b-movie and The Stath back on form!
Synopsis | Jason Statham is back as Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2. Pulled back into the fight when the Beekeeper organization goes rogue and sets its sights on controlling the government, Clay must take on the very group that made him.
The rest of the cast for this one includes Pom Klementieff, Jemma Redgrave, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Adam Copeland, Bobby Naderi with Yara Shahidi and Jeremy Irons.
The Beekeeper 2 will be in UK, Irish and U.S Cinemas from 15th January 2027.
