A New Supergirl Trailer Has Landed
The Supergirl trailer has just been released by DC Studios and Warner Bros, spotlighting Krypton’s Kara Zor-El, played by Milly Alcock, following her appearance in James Gunn’s Superman film last year, in an adaptation of the comics Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely. Craig Gillespie serves as director and works from a script penned by Ana Nogueira.
The rest of the film’s cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
Supergirl will oversee “an unexpected and ruthless adversary” which “strikes too close to home” and so she “reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Gillespie shared, “We do really thoroughly investigate Argo [Kara’s birth city] and Krypton. It’s so fundamental to who she is as a person and what she goes through in her formative years there. It makes you understand why she is where she is with her personality and the self-destructive nature that she has as we meet her at the beginning of the film.”

Supergirl hits cinemas on 26th June.
