Netflix-Effect

As technology companies like Netflix and Amazon take over more and more of the functions that once belonged to television networks and media conglomerates, what will that mean for the nature of TV shows we’ll be offered in years to come? Frame Your TV have created this nifty infographic that explores the prevalence of on-demand television shows, examines how programming has changed, and asks if we are in the ‘golden age of television’.

Even  here at The Peoples Movies  and Cinehouse how we review new films and Television shows we are now reviewing more of them online. You could say its 30%  of what we are reviewing is online now with the rest still traditional DVD/Blu-ray screener. It’s believed Film & TV Distributors will go 100% online  some argue a positive Green issue step but the evolution of Netflix is making us all think differently about film and television in general and how we enjoy them.

Has Netflix changed your perceptions of On Demand viewing?Netflix has changed our perceptions with the likes of House Of Cards, Daredevil have given Television a kick in the backside they must do better. Later this year with Cary Fukunaga’s Beasts Of No Nation, film is next for a  shake up hopefully for the best for all of us!
