The Nest Trailer Will Intensify Your Anxiety

Nine Years since Sean Durkin made the indie cult thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene. Now he returns with the follow up film The Nest starring Jude Law, Carrie Coon and it will intensify your anxiety.
This one sees Law and Coon as an married couple who sacrifice everything and move to England. Both with many ambitions that end up clashing and ones chance of a big opportunity, things start to unravel. Threatening all they have set up and believed in.
This film debut at Sundance Film Festival, alot like Durkin’s first film. The reviews praising our entrepreneurial couple (Law and Coon) performance, one of their best in years. Drama’s are ten a penny, but the tone of this one feels darker, tension filled, very uneasy. Giving this one an edge and worth a look too.
Rory (Jude Law), an ambitious entrepreneur and former commodities broker, persuades his American wife, Allison (Carrie Coon), and their children to leave the comforts of suburban America and return to his native England during the 1980s. Sensing opportunity, Rory rejoins his former firm and leases a centuries-old country manor, with grounds for Allison’s horses and plans to build a stable. Soon the promise of a lucrative new beginning starts to unravel, the couple have to face the unwelcome truths lying beneath the surface of their marriage.
The film also stars Oona Roche and Charlie Shotwell.
The Nest doesn’t have a UK release date or distributor. For the U.S, IFC Films will release the film on 18th September on a limited cinema release.
