The Mother Of Festivals Awaits! Watch Trailer For The Festival

The Festival (2018)

Missing The Inbetweeners? The Festival might just be the closest thing to another series/spin-off. This Summer, pack your bags, grab your wellies and donโ€™t forget your tent! The Inbetweeners creator Ian Morris brings us his latest creation, a reminder of those nightmare memories of Festival weekenders!

Joe Thomas goes solo, plays our hapless victim who attends his first ever music festival after been dumped by his girlfriend. Like many young people of a similar age attending a music festival is a rite of passage. As you watch the UK Trailer for the film things go ‘Pete Tong’ very quickly…

When Nick’s (Joe Thomas) girlfriend dumps him at graduation, he has a colossal meltdown in front of the entire university. He’s convinced his life is over, but his best mate Shane (Hammed Animashaun) has the perfect solution: three days at an epic music festival. With the help of “festival aficionado” and certified oddball Amy (Emmy Award nominee Claudia Oโ€™Doherty), Shane tries to get Nick to embrace the music, the mayhem, and the mud. From the creators of THE INBETWEENERS comes THE FESTIVAL, a comedy about friendship, growing up, and going mad in a field.

I’ve never really been a fan of The Inbetweeners but have seen enough of the cult TV Show to know fans of it will probably love this. A similar tone of comedy, crude, stupid at times very awkward and this time Joe doesn’t have the boys to back him up. Now sit nicely and get educated on the art of ‘foreskin hygiene’ from Jermaine Clement, yes kids a little uncomfortable!

If there’s ever going to be another series of The Inbetweeners, it will be the gossip of the boys coping with parenthood. expect that to be a few years away, just let Joe or Simon keep you entertained for now!

The Festival is set to launch in the UK and Ireland on 17th August.
