The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Adds Billy Porter & Glenn Close
It has been revealed by Deadline that The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has added Glenn Close and Billy Porter to the star-studded cast of the latest film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ hit book series, in which we will see the events of the 5oth Hunger Games unfold.
Glenn Close will play Drusilla Sickle, who is the escort for District 12 tributes. Billy Porter plays Drusilla’s husband and District 12 stylist Magno Stift. Glenn Close has 8 Oscar nominations to her name from movies such as Fatal Attraction, The Wife and Dangerous Liaisons. Billy Porter is best known for his work on broadway, winning 3 Tony awards. He has also made television appearances in popular shows such as Big Mouth and the reboot of Gossip Girl.
They join an extensive list of castmates which includes Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Mckenna Grace, Kieran Culkin, Maya Hawke, Jesse Plemons, Ben Wang, Joseph Zada, Whitney Peak, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Lili Taylor.
Francis Lawrence returns to direct the film which The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is set to release on 20th November 2026.
