The Horsemen Unleashed In X-Men:Apocalypse First Trailer
The beginning  of the end for Marvel’s finest X-men, Apocalypse and his horsemen are unleashed, it’s not a dream Jean Grey, It’s X-Men:Apocalypse First Trailer…And it’s War!
As announced the final film of the second X-Men trilogy will be upon us early Summer 2016, new decade, new set of fresh faces, new decade but an ancient enemy. One that might cause you to think twice about who wrote the actual bible Christianity worships?!
Chaos, almighty power and destruction lies ahead for mutant heroes, but like any untrained eye they have the will to fight, passion to succeed but the innocence to be manipulated. It seems now Bryan Singer has went more towards the 1990s cartoon rather than the actual pages of the comic books for inspiration.
In X-Men:Apocalypse since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Oscar Isaac is our titular villain and though don’t see much of him face on, he narrates with his hypnotic voice manipulating the nativity of our young heroes.Like the tagline on the poster (see below) ‘Only the strong will survive’, he only wants the best not the heathens like Charles Xavier (McAvoy right at the end of the trailer doing his best to be the next Hit-man with the classic Xavier look). He looks formidable with glimpses of strength and playing on the premise he might be the first mutant who helped write the bible is an intriguing direction. It’s a shame they haven’t emulated Apocalypse comic book look, certainly a look that’s up there with FF’s Doom.
You wanted characters galore this trailer teases that idea, many showing off their garish fashion sense (well it is the 1980’s), with only a few showing off their mutant powers. More a introduction for them though we get a great look at cyclops optic power, overall some great shots and a better looking film than Days Of Future Past (which ironically does everything right that Genisys attempted to do!).
X-Men:Apocalypse is set for 19th May 2016 in UK&Ireland starring Jennifer Lawrence,Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, Ben Hardy.
