The Horsemen Return In Now You See Me 2 First Trailer

Now You See loved more by cinephiles than critics was a bit of a darkhorse, 2016 the second act returns Now You See Me 2, more tricks and new faces. In the films UK teaser trailer reveals a certain wizardry figure from Hogwarts is so happy to working with them….Ta Da!!!

Now You See Me 2 is set One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry [Daniel Radcliffe], a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet.

Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

When I originally watched Now You See Me, I didn’t think is was a total flop, it just felt in the build up to the release I was expecting something in the middle and all I got was a start and finish. The illusion element was well delivered but lack of structure to the sory left us as if we’ve been deceived of something we where promised in the trailers. It seems the formula will be kept for the second film hoping play on the charm and chemistry of the original cast. Lizzy Caplan come’s in for Isla Fisher but since this film was announced there has been no explination on why she hasn’t returned.

One of my concerns is  the director Jon M.Chu a director who has a track record equal if not worse than Louis Leterrier whom he’s taken over from. Chu is famous for destroying kid’s childhood memories with G.I Joe and the recent adaptation of Jem And The Holgrams (which is due out in UK 12th February) which was a U.S Box office disaster. The other hand as the the first film raked in over £300 million worldwide box office  on a £55 million budget could ressurect what repuatation the director may have had before his last film.

Now You See Me 2 will arrive in UK on 10th June 2016 starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
