The Mandalorian and Grogu teaser trailer arrives

Lucasfilm has released the final trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the upcoming feature film spin-off to the original Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, which ran for three seasons from 2019 to 2023 and took place five years after the film Return of the Jedi.ย The film is byย director Jon Favreau, who co-wrote with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor, and will starย original series star Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White.

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy,” the official premise reads. “As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.”

Favreau produces with Kathleen Kennedy, Filoni and Ian Bryce, with Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck all credited as co-producers.

The Star Wars franchise charts an ongoing political revolution in a galaxy far, far away, consisting of 11 films (nine in The Skywalker Saga and two standalone films) and 17 shows.ย The original series was the first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise, with other series installments including The Clone Wars and Young Jedi Adventures.ย The Mandalorianย was followed by later live-action Star Wars shows featured on Disney+, such asย The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Ahsoka, The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew.ย 

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Groguย hits cinemas on the 22nd May.ย
