Every galaxy has it’s underworld and next month we’ll head to that ‘underworld’ when Disney launch The Book Of Boba Fett. Today Disney and Lucasfilm reveal the legendary bounty hunter series Trailer ready to stake their claim in the name of their crime syndicate.
Any excuse to head back to the galaxy far, far away is most welcomed. Especially when it’s one character from the original Star Wars franchise who had the coolest uniform. Shock horror, he takes his helmet?! New Zealander actor Temuera Morrison dawns the task of Boba, he is no stranger to Fett family as he played Boba’s father Jango Fett in The Attack Of The Clones. As for Boba he played the masked Boba in The Mandalorian along with a number of video games.
What this trailer does it tease the tone of the upcoming series. One that plays up on the ‘criminal underworld’ element. Inspired from the likes of The Godfather and that Boba Fett is no longer a bounty Hunter he’s a crime lord. Unlike Jabba’s rule he worked under was rule by fear, he’ll rule with respect. He faces much competition from all the galaxies crime syndicates, mostly from the ones on Tatooine. Can he get Jabba’s once own land? He’ll have help from assassin Fenec Shand (Ming-Na Wen).
“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
At this stage the full cast is still a mystery. Will it include all new characters or a combination of new and cast for The Mandalorian?
The Book Of Boba Fett series will premiere globally on Disney+ from 29th December.
