The Art Of Cheese, New The Canyons Trailer Goes ‘Noir’
What has more cheese than you local dairy or fast food joint? Probably a Lindsay Lohan film especially this on The Canyons and tonight we have a fresh new trailer for the actress’ L.A Noir style thriller.
The Canyons comes courtesy of Taxi Driver director Paul Schrader and the pen of American Psycho’s Brett Easton Willis will follows a group of young professionals in their 20’s and the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition.
This trailer goes to town with 1950’s style noir film trailer however things are deceiving or simply confusing as this looks terrible making you wonder is this just a spoof and not a true reflection of the final product? If this is the final product The Canyons is not the ‘comeback’ film to give the actress desires to win her some credibility instead of been the kid actress who gets arrested for drunken offences! But with Schrader and Easton Ellis involved this might be a deliberate tease like the grindhouse trailer which was recently released (see below) a pulpy parody which was full of style and messing around. We think we haven’t seen full story yet on this one!
No word on this indie trashy pulp noir appearing in UK&Ireland just yet but if your Stateside expect this one sometime 2013. The Canyons also stars porn star James Deen making his screen debut along with Nolan Funk, Amanda Brooks and Gus Van Sant.
If you missed the grindhouse style trailer here it is in it’s fully pulpy glory….
