Steve Coogan Is The King Of Soho In UK Trailer For The Look Of Love

In the 1970’s USA Had Larry Flint here in Blighty the king Of Porn or Soho was Paul Raymond and Steve Coogan is that man in Michael Winterbottom’s The Look Of Love check out the UK trailer.

The Look Of Love stars Steve Coogan as self made soft porn entrepreneur/ property baron Paul Raymond help establishing the infamous Soho district of London with his Raymond Revue Bar following Raymond’s rise and fall. The movie marks the 3rd time director  Michael Winterbottom and comedian turned actor Coogan have worked together with 24 Hour Party People, The Trip been the other films though the focus of this trailer does seem to fall on the women of Raymond’s life, His wife Jean (Anna Friel), mistress Fiona (Tamsin Egerton) and Daddy’s Little girl Debbie (Imogen Poots).

The trailer may not reveal any revelations,The  Look of Love of love looks a enjoyable farce that will let us see play a character in the style of the ones that made him his name in the world of television comedy. Dare we say Paul Raymond is Alan Partridge crossed with Tony Ferrino?!

The Look of Love will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas from 26th April, the film also stars Matt Lucas,Stephen Fry and David Walliams.

Synopsis

From Steve Coogan and director Michael Winterbottom, the team behind 24 Hour Party People, Cock and Bull Story and The Trip, comes the fast, funny and outrageously true story of Paul Raymond, the controversial entrepreneur and property baron who established the Raymond Revue Bar and went on to become Britain’s richest man. With a screenplay by Matt Greenhalgh (Control), The Look of Love co-stars Anna Friel, Imogen Poots and Tamsin Egerton as the women in Raymond’s life, alongside a great roster of British comic talent including Chris Addison, David Walliams, Simon Bird and Matt Lucas.
