Starzplay Confirm Doom Patrol Season 2 UK Premiere Date
Last week the US Season 2 premiere date for the strangest heroes, Doom Patrol was announced. Fear not UK and Irish fans, StarzPlay UK has announced that the second season of the popular DC Superhero series will premiere exclusively on the platform in the UK on Thursday, 16th July.
The 15-episode first season of Doom Patrol premiered on STARZPLAY UK in January of this year, introducing the world to DC’s group of outcast heroes who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton).

Following the Season 1 defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. There, they will deal with their full-sized feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (played by newcomer Abigail Shapiro), who was glimpsed at the close of Season 1 and whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.
Doom Patrol Season 2 will premiere exclusively on StarzPlay in the UK on Thursday, 16th July.
