Spider-Man: Brand New Trailer 2 released

The latest epic new trailer for the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day has just been released online!

The film marks the latest appearance of the webslinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Tom Holland returning as our beloved friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. Unfortunately for him, he’s still having to come to terms with both the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home and saying goodbye to his girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon). New threats soon arrive in New York City, including the re-emergence of Scorpion (Michael Mando) and a powerful, unseen threat that could be the biggest he has ever faced.

There are tonnes of anticipation around the film with fans excited to see where the film leaves Spider-Man heading into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. There’s also a lot of intrigue about whether the film acknowledges the developing story from the popular Daredevil reboot and The Punisher: One Last Kill. It’s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) and also features Sadie Sink (rumoured to be Jean Grey), Jon Bernthal (as Frank Castle/The Punisher), Tramell Tillman and Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk). The trailer hints at the story by showing Parker interacting with MJ and Ned, as well as going to Banner for help.

Synopsis:

The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them. It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in cinemas on 29th July.
