Sonic The Hedgehog 2 First Trailer Double The Speed, Double The Trouble

The world’s favourite blue hedgehog is back, as Paramount Pictures release the First UK Trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog 2. The hybrid/live action adventure takes one step closer to it’s video game adaptation with the sequel. First look at Tails Sonic’s friend, however there is Knuckles his nemesis double the speed, double the trouble!

Ben Schwartz returns as the voice of Sonic, who with Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) search for the chaos emeralds that have the power to destroy everything. They have to get them before Robotnik (Jim Carrey) gets his hands on them, under his new guise of Dr.Eggman. He does have the help of his own ‘Sonic’, Knuckles the Echidna (Idris Elba)!

After the delays of the first film (and Covid-19!), the sequel is a very fast turnaround. When the first films was one of the most successful films at the box office, you want to get that sequel out quickly as possible. This looks another fun film and it does have a crazy moustache from Carrey!!!

The world’s favourite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. 

Rest of the cast includes James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, and Shemar Moore. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 doesn’t have a confirmed release date for the UK and Ireland, though April 2022 is a potential release date.
