Something’s Coming In 10 Cloverfield Lane Trailer! Cloverfield 2?!

Something’s coming, but what is it?  Behold the first UK trailer for the JJ Abrams produced 10 Cloverfield Lane but is it Cloverfield 2?! After the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens you would assume Abrams would sit back and relax but think again as what looks like the follows producing  the ‘blood relative’ to the film but could this even be Super 8 follow up?

Like the monster in 2008 Matt Reeves film no one was expecting this, it took us all by surprise and now we can’t be more excited the first trailer is here.

As for the actual plot synopsis at this stage yet. But the trailer is merely a tease with no exact clues it’s in Cloverfield universe but what we can see is the trio of characters Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a woman who is been kept in a cellar/bunker.Held by a stranger (played by John Goodman) who tells her the world is over outside because of a nuclear fall-out.You can see there is a lack of trust going on here and Winstead at one point is on crutches could Goodman have rescued her or something more sinister? John Gallagher Jr. is seen in the trailer too what is his part in the film? There is a dark undertone but also this is not a found footage film either.

Thanks to the investigating skills of Collider who where able to get a short statement form abrams who said “The idea came up a long time ago during production. We wanted to make it a blood relative of Cloverfield. The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”

The Cloverfield sequel has taken 8 years to become a reality,and Abrams last year say he was working on  Valencia a ‘post apocalyptic thriller’ with Dan Trachtenberg (who created the videogame-inspired short film Portal: No Escape.It’s went through many names including The Cellar but the question really we should be asking is this a full on sequel as ‘Blood relative’ suggests it might not be, it just happens in the original film’s universe. The trailer suggests its all underground but it seems 10 Cloverfield Lane will be coming to IMAX suggests we might have big action that deserves a big screen.

10 Cloverfield Lane is set for April 8th UK&Ireland release date.
