Your hear about size does matter  but it’s the old cliche it’s what you do with it matters in the first official UK trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man being small has it’s advantages.

Since 2014 it’s been all about Edgar Wright dropping out of the film rather than will the film be any good, but now it’s 2015 our focus is now on the first footage. Hank Pym may not maybe small but what we see here is BIG!

In Ant-Man armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

The first thing that’s refreshing about this film whilst the film maybe most personal  when it comes to character development but what we like is that it’s a film where the hero won’t be saving the world. It’s not Marvel world ala comic book as Douglas is that connection as his character  passes his wisdom to Lang who just happens to be a father too bringing another level to the MCU universe. The story does look like it’ll be straightforward  compared to other MCU films with Rudd been  an actor known for comedy role plus Adam McKay (Anchorman) scripting the film this will be full of humour. There is no sign that this could be a Guardians Of The Galaxy type flick, but there will be laughs.

There has been very little on Ant-Man  and the trailer leaves a lot of unanswered questions such as Why did Pym pick Lang? Is the suit totally responsible for for the communication with insects and Lang’s ability to change his size? Are we disapointed? Hell no! We’re excited

Ant-Man will arrive into UK, Irish cinemas on 17th July co-starring Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Judy Greer, Tip “Ti” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Jordi Mollà.
