Simon Pegg’s new film A FANTASTIC FEAR OF EVERYTHING will arrive in UK&Irish cinema’s next month and this afternoon Universal Pictures have sent us over by courier pigeon the films official UK poster.ย  The film sees Crispian Mills from Kula Shaker making his directorial debut alongside Chris Hopewell. Hopewell is the award winning animation director behind a host of top music promos including Radioheadโ€™s There There and The Killers Smile Like You Mean it, and is also the renowned designer/ artist of rock poster outfit Jacknife.

The film is a dark comedy and sees Simon returning to his British indie roots as Jack a childrenโ€™s author turned crime novelist. His research into Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered.

Before the wonderful trailer arrived last month I had no clue about this film, or what it was even about but on first viewing I was automatically hooked, it looks a charming but surreal film which does look like its inspired by Terry Gillam/Wes Anderson. I’m really looking forward to this one now really hoping this film will be Pegg’s best film outside of Nick Frost and Edgar Wright and on June 8th we’ll find out how great the film really is. Aย  Fantastic Fear Of Everything also stars Paul Freeman, Clare Higgins, Clare Higgins, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Amara Karan and Kerry Shale.
