Scotland Loves Anime returns with a special 10th anniversary show!

Scottish anime fans are in for a treat this October, as Scotland Loves Anime returns, with a special programme to celebrate its tenth year!

Screenings take place in October between the 11th and 13th at the Glasgow Film Theatre and the 14th and 20th at Edinburgh’s Biscuit Factory.

There’s plenty of action to take in, ranging from UK premieres of hotly anticipated films like Birthday Wonderland and Weathering with You to a screening of the 2009 high-octane thriller Redline.

Meanwhile, acclaimed director Yuhei Sakuragi takes centre stage as the event’s special guest, giving a Q & A session following a screening of his film The Relative Worlds on 12th October.

A week later, Edinburgh plays host to a themed screening of Promare, the new film from Kill la Kill creators Trigger. There’ll be food and drink, a specially decorated theatre and the chance to meet staff from Trigger, including director Hiroyuki Imaishi and character designer Shigeto Koyama!

Tickets for individual films come in at around £10.50, but some discounts and weekend passes are also available. For more details, check out the Loves Animation website.
