With Scotland Loves Anime coming into it’s fifth year, it is kicking off with showing some surprising titles, and huge guests.
Scotland Loves Anime is a charity, raising awareness of Japanese Animation worldwide.
A charity well worthwhile for all those in countries that don’t seem to see the appeal of Anime.
With people calling Anime simply Cartoons and for children, it’s difficult to admit that you really enjoy watching these as person who is over roughly 20.
Fans of Anime will get defensive when people refer to it as ‘Cartoon’
However, if you look at it on face value, it is Cartoon; Japanese Cartoon. However, just as with American Cartoons it isn’t really restricted to the younger ages. There are plenty of American Cartoons that are for adults and still popular after over ten seasons.
Anime in Japan is huge and they cater to children and adults of all ages.
Scotland Loves Anime holds events every October to raise awareness of Japanese Animation and to foster links between students and the animation industry.
