scarygirl trailer coming to UK 26th April

Sometimes people are made to be heroes and she is one of them. Later this month Vertigo Releasing will bring animated adventure Scarygirl to UK Cinemas, today it’s the UK Trailer.

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel, toy and game brand of the same name created by Nathan Jurevicius. The animated version is Ricard Cussa (Combat Wombat, Daisy Quokka: Worldโ€™s Scariest Animal). The film made it’s premiere last year at Sydney Film Festival and visually and story wise similar to Coraline.

Jill Nguyen voices our titular character, a 12 year old girl whose world is threatened by sunlight. With her father captured, she overcome her fears and save her home as well as her father.

When her world is threatened by a loss of sunlight, a young girl must overcome her fears and journey to a fantastical city, save her father from a mysterious scientist and prevent the destruction of her planet.

The voice cast for this one includes Sam Neill (Jurassic Park franchise), Anna Torv (The Last of Us), Rob Collins (Queen of Oz), Remy Hii (Marco Polo), Tim Minchin (Matilda the Musical), Liv Hewson (Yellowjackets), Deborah Mailman (The Sapphires), Mark Coles Smith (Mystery Road: Origin), and Dylan Alcott (Paralympian).

Vertigo Releasing will release Scarygirl in Uk and Irish cinemas from 26th April.
