The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power season 2 trailer

Sauron Returns In First The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Trailer

Darkness will bind them and in Middle Earth there is plenty. Prime Video have released the first Trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

The first rings of power have been forged and Sauron has returned. Not in the form we last met him in the classic Peter Jackson films, this is the second age. Charlie Vickers is our iconic villain in season 2 and not the scruffy Halbrand he was before Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) exposed him.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power new season, our heroes are very vulnerable. They will need their ‘A game’ with the Dark Lord cunningness will make him more powerful. The world is on the brink of chaos and the danger that lies ahead goes beyond the strength of the Elves. The fate of Humans, Dwarves, Harfoots and wizards must all unite.

Season 1 divided many critics, fans and viewers. I was late to the show, and enjoyed the season it, wasn’t perfect however season 2 looks better. Lot of familiar locations like Mount Doom, Mordor and it looks a lot darker, plus more character driven.

In Season Two of The Rings of Power, Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel, without army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on Season One’s epic scope and ambition, the new season plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots… as friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all… each other.

The cast for season 2 will include Benjamin Walker , Nazanin Boniadi , Peter Mullan , Lenny Henry , Robert Aramayo , Cynthia Addai-Robinson , Ismael Cruz Cordova , Ema Horvath , Markella Kavenagh , Owain Arthur, Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear, and Tanya Moodie.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power launches on Prime Video from 29th August.
