Universal Pictures have released the second UK Trailer for Sarah Polley‘s critically acclaimed Women Talking. Women forced to make tough decisions, do nothing? stay and fight? Leave.

Canadian actress/ filmmaker Polley has had critical success with Stories We Tell. It’s no surprise that her latest film looks set to follow suit. Since it’s world premiere earlier this year at Telluride, Women Talking has been making the waves. Some great critical reviews, several festival awards, so no wonder it’s garnering awards buzz now.

The film is based on a novel of the same name by Miriam Toews. Inspired by true events, we find ourselves in 2010 following a group of Mennonite women. Due to the isolation from the outside world, they find themselves grappling with their strict faith values. Whose men have been sexually abusing them for years, do they do nothing, stay or fight or simply leave?

This will be a tough watch due to the subject matter. Dealing with power, trauma, forgiven or even the thinking if they report the abuse, it would be against their beliefs. This will have lots of debating, very thought provoking.
