Samuel L Jackson has a lot of things to do, but most of all he has to set his mind free! Apple TV+ have releasedย  the official Trailer for their upcoming drama series The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey , as Jackson battles his memory.

Jackson stars as Ptolemy Grey an elderly man forgotten by his family. You couldย  also say he’s โ€˜forgottenโ€™ย  himself suffering from dementia andย  he’s left with no carer. He finds himself caring for an orphaned teenager who starts to learning about Ptolemy’s medication uncovering some shocking truths.

It’s been a long, long time since we could truly praise Jackson in a dramatic role. This one certainly shows it’s not all superheroes and Mothaf****rs and back to his early days of complexed characters. This six episode series may also see the actor relate with anyone whose seen a loved one suffer with dementia too.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey stars Jackson as Ptolemy Grey, an ailing man forgotten by his family, by his friends, and by even himself. Suddenly left without his trusted caretaker and on the brink of sinking even deeper into a lonely dementia, Ptolemy is assigned to the care of orphaned teenager Robyn, played by BAFTA Award nominee Dominique Fishback (โ€œJudas and the Black Messiahโ€). When they learn about a treatment that can restore Ptolemyโ€™s dementia-addled memories, it begins a journey toward shocking truths about the past, present and future.

The rest of the cast includesย Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Damon Gupton, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Walton Goggins, andย Omar Miller.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Greyย will premiere globally fromย Friday 11th March on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes then a new episode every week after that.
