Saddle Up With Idris Elba Watch Concrete Cowboy Trailer

You are who you ride with, so saddle up lets go riding and watch the official Trailer for Netflix bound drama Concrete Cowboy. starring Idris Elba in a moving father son drama of a young man sliding into a life of crime can he help him?

Caleb McLaughlin (Stranger Things)stars as Cole, a troubled young man who finds himself expelled from school. Whilst spending the summer in North Philadelphia, he finds himself caught between a life of crime and his estranged father’s (Elba) vibrant urban-cowboy subculture.

The film made its debut at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and inspired by the novel “Ghetto Cowboy” by G. Neri. The Fletcher Street Cowboys are a real life urban cowboy community that gives a second the riders a second chance in life. Also the horses get a second chance much like Cole and his father, this looks a fantastic film.

When fifteen-year-old Cole (Caleb McLaughlin) is expelled from his school in Detroit, he is sent to North Philadelphia to live with Harp (Idris Elba), his estranged father. Harp finds solace in rehabilitating horses for inner city cowboys at the Fletcher Street Stables, a real-life black urban horsemanship community that has provided a safe haven for the neighbourhood residents for more than 100 years. Torn between his growing respect for his father’s community and his remerging friendship with troubled cousin Smush (Jharrel Jerome), Cole begins to reprioritize his life as the stables become threatened by encroaching gentrification.

The film also stars  Jharrel Jerome, Byron Bowers, Lorraine Toussaint, and Clifford “Method Man” Smith. Not forgetting the Fletcher Street Cowboys! The is directed by first time filmmaker Ricky Staub.

Concrete Cowboy is scheduled to arrive on Netflix 2nd April.
