Saddle Up For Tommy Lee Jones The Homesman UK Trailer

After it’s positive run at this years Cannes Film Festival Tommy Lee Jones directed (and starring) Western The Homesman is now starting it’ cinematic promotion with the release of it’s UK Trailer.

When we talk about Westerns in modern cinema they are far and few between however with The Homesman the Men In Black star is doing his bit to keep the genre alive in today’s CGI heavy film domination. Whilst the frontiers will always be wild the recent westerns such as Django Unchained things have gotten grittier and more nostalgic but with the Tommy Lee Jones movie he is hoping the more traditional Western can still find a place in our cinematic hearts.

The Homesman tells the tale of claim jumper George Briggs (Jones), bored, drunk untrustworthy is approached by pioneer woman Mary Bee Cuddy (Hilary Swank) to escort three woman on a perilous journey from Nebraska to Iowa.

Set in the 1850’s American frontier and based on a book by Glendon Swarthout, The Homesman certainly boasts a fantastic cast making it worthy of a look when it’s released in UK. A cast that includes Meryl Streep, James Spader, John Lithgow, Tim Blake Nelson, David Dencik, Hailee Steinfeld, Grace Gummer, William Fichtner, Miranda Otto and Jesse Plemons.

The Homesman will be released in UK on 21st November 2014.
