Robert De Niro os the taxi driver again? Well he is but not in the way wish to see him again but in Being Flynn aka Another Bullsh*t Night in Suck City  he is a taxi driving alcoholic troubled writer in the Paul Weitz directed film which also stars Paul Dano,  Olivia Thirlby, Dale Dickey, Lili Taylor, Julianne Moore.

De Niro teams up with Little Focker’s writer Weitz minus lie dectectors or son in laws this time tells the story of a young writer (Dano) troubled man who volunteers for a homeless shelter where he finds his father (De Niro) a once brilliant writer who walked out on him and his mother (Moore) when he was young. This is one of those father-son drama’s and some critics are calling this one of Robert De Niro’s best films in many years with some sites going as far as saying the veteran actor deserves a nomination for a Oscar which would be his for first since Cape Fear in 1991.

I’ll let you be the judge of that when you check out the trailer below, a film which is due out Spring 2012.

Adapted from Nick Flynn’s 2004 memoir Another Bulls-t Night in Suck City, the new dramatic feature from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Paul Weitz tells the story of a young writer, Nick (portrayed by Paul Dano), who takes a job at a homeless shelter – where one night he discovers his long-absent father Jonathan (two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro) seeking a bed. Julianne Moore portrays the writer’s mother Jody; and Olivia Thirlby portrays Denise, a worker at the shelter.
