RJLE Films Pick Up David Ayer’s The Tax Collector
David Ayer‘s indie thriller, The Tax Collector has finally found itself a distributor. RLJE Films which is part of the AMC Networks has picked up the North American rights to the film according to Deadline.
The film stars Shia LaBeouf as Creeper and Bobby Soto as David. The pair are ‘tax collectors’ for the crime lord Wizard and collecting the cut from the profits of local gangsโ illicit dealings. But when Wizardโs old rival returns to Los Angeles from Mexico, the business is upended, and David finds himself desperate to protect what matters more to him than anything else: his family.

It’s been a productive couple of weeks for David Ayer. It was only last week we learned that his next film, Six Years will be released by Netflix.The film will be based on Harlan Coben best selling novel of the same name.
The film also stars Cinthya Carmona (East Los High), and George Lopez.
RJLEย Films are hoping for a quick turnaround for The Tax Collector, with an 20th August, USA release. There’s no news on who and when this will be released in the UK and Ireland yet.
