Rihanna Is ‘Cosmic’ With Full Video For Sledgehammer Star Trek Video

Since the launch of the last Star Trek Beyond trailer the talk of the galaxy has been the upcoming release of Rihanna‘s ‘Sledgehammer‘ music video. Today is your lucky day as Paramount send us that video in it’s full glory, get cosmic with the singer now…

After all the chat about the song we can now boldly go beyond with the music video and fans of the artist as well as fans of Star Trek franchise will love this. Whilst you don’t have to be a fan of Rihanna, the song takes Star Trek into 21st Century whilst not losing that classic Trek tone. What the video reminds me of the James Bond music videos which bond perfectly with the film, highlighting the importance of a strong song with a strong film. Fall Out Boy’s poor song feels out of touch with Ghostbusters, Rihanna‘s song fits nicely. The whole video has the theme of Star Trek through out with even the artist herself like an beautiful alien with hypnotic powers. The setting even reminds you of that classic Star Trek episode Captain Kirk is stalked by a Lizard Type alien in a game of death!

In Star Trek Beyond the Enterprise is in the middle of it’s 5 year mission to explore the galaxy and boldly go where no one has gone before. As the crew try to decide where next on that mission things suddenly go wrong  when they confront new unknown baddie Krall (Idris Elba) who is against all that Federation Of Planets (aka Starfleet) stand for. The attack find s the crew scrambling to a nearby planet, scattered everywhere could mean the crew attempt to re-unite with each other to regain control of the Enterprise.
