Ridley Scott’s Prometheus Get’s Another ( less vague) Synopsis

Ridley Scott next summer and for the next few years will take us on trips down memory lane soon with Blade Runner (but will it be remake, prequel, sequel?) but as we know June 1st, 2012 its back to the universe which spawned the Alien franchise with Prometheus. Allegedly it’s not a Aliens prequel but a movie  with ‘DNA’ of the franchise in it, but in the words of the Wet Wet Wet song ‘it’s a sweet little mystery’ as have more chance of discovering the grand secret of the masonic lodge than this movie (for now anyway).

Back in July the fantastically vague synopsis for the movie was revealed  virtually nothing apart from a film is on the way, whose in and whose directing it, it would have been a piece of writing a stasi police agent would have been proud of. But now via the movie’s facebook page we now have a slightly better plot but we’re still no clearer on whats going on, but hereit is judge for yourselves:

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

So what do you think? Any clearer? I would actually say just little clearer, Is it Terraformers? Who is actually the threat? Will there actually be a connection to the Alien franchise and will the space jockey’s be in the mix? All you can say is we don’t know but Damon Lindelof  has certainly got us all in a cafoodle like Lost!

Hopefully as we get closer to the part of the build up when footage is due to be released may be alot clearer, its confusion dot com but we’re all excited here at The Peoples Movies, rollon June 1st 2012!!!! Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall and Logan Marshall-Green
