Ridely Scott Talks about Westerns as well Aliens Prequel!!!

Apparently Westerns & Sci-Fi’s are dead according to Ridley Scott in 2007, when he was asked but move on 3 years his mind has changed and he has the Alien Prequel along with a adaptation of Forever War (Joe Hadleman’s 1974 novel). At the recent hero complex festival in usa who also mention something he’ll on a western that Larry McMurty (Brokeback Mountain) is writing as well, could this be Boone’s Lick? A novel by McMurty which is listed on his own IMDB.

With the likes of Star Trek, Avatar, District 9, moon is its obivious that science fiction is not dead, just took a break to refresh regroup and come back with a bang so I have to say I was over the moon that we’ll see a prequel well actually prequels!!! The Alien Franchise has finished, went as far as it can go forward so really the only option is to go back… to prequels. So past few months we’ve heard the odd rumbling about the movie, but no ones ever asked who the space jockeys are? maybe we’ll find out in these prequels.

Go back to movie one, in the mothership which had the big Alien sat in the chair dead this looks possibly to be the lines of the new movie with a side story of actually where the nasty xenomorphs came from.

Scott goes on about some research Nasa are doing underwater and a wonderful planet called Europa (or should we say a star) next Jupiter then suddenly goes back into the Alien Prequel that’ll they’ll be delving more into the terraforming (making a planets amotsphere more habital to live on) along with what it’ll take us to get to these planets (travel). Even a little conspiracy theory digg as well stating if JFK was still alive we would all have a colony on Mars by now, mmmm! There was even a plug on the transporters on star trek…Beem me up scottie!

So what was all that about? here’s what he said….

“The closer it is to the truth, and the closer it is to the technological feasibility, then it becomes that much more interesting, and if it’s a film like I’m going to do, then it becomes a lot more frightening.”

It’s time to glue all the peices together and use our spidey senses along with the scooby doo investigation skills, as techonology in the real world has advanced so much since the original movie we’ll still get the original movie concept (one alien on spaceship) bring in that technology and advancements in travel kaboom we could have transporting nasties whilst in warp factor, nice horror sci-fi me thinks!!! Zeta 2 Reticuli will be the place they’ll travel to bring in the space jockey according to Ain’t It Cool News thats possibly only a suit and whats under it is the big surprise!

mmm this looks like a mighty interesting movie, roll on 2012!
