reed.co.uk Short Film Competition Winners Announced
We had a lovely evening of champagne, canapes and cocktails at BAFTA last night for the reed.co.uk Short Film Awards.
Now in its sixth year, the reed.co.uk Short Film Competition creates career changing opportunities for up and coming British creative talent to showcase their work to industry professionals and compete for the chance to win the top prize of ยฃ10,000.
The competition received 572 entries this year, the highest ever in its history, as filmmakers took on the challenge to create a three minute short film based on an original idea around the theme ‘The Question’.
‘Photo Finish by London based Andrew Lee Potts won the top Grand Prix Award of the competition. The film is set in a photo booth at a wedding and depicts a heart-warming way to pop the question,ย We were really impressed with the overall quality of the competition entries but were definitely won over by ‘Photo Finish’, especially when we found out Andrew created as a wedding gift to his sister and her fiancรฉe who both star in the film.
