A group of Dwarves together look on at something in The Hobbit

This time next week ย on 13th December ย (14th in USA) we will finally be making our way back to Middle Earth when The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey arrives in UK& Ireland .If there’s any film that’s pull out all the stoppers this year the award has to go to Peter Jackson and The Hobbit let’s just say you’ve been spoiled for choice and tonight your getting spoiled even more with over 20 minutes of Middle Earth Goodness!

First up we have an extensive new featurette, 13 minutes in length which reveals plenty of new footage mixed in with interviews from Elijah Wood and Peter Jackson who defends his choice of using 48fps technology. If this featurette hasn’t wet the whistle we have a new TV Spot ย and 6 new clips, so if your eager to see fresh footage please do continue to watch but tread carefully if your want to watch the film first, whatever way your in for a treat!

Fancy a first look at not the second film but the final film?ย Entertainment Weeklyย have released an image of Orlando Bloom returning as Legolas and in the image he is joined by Luke Evans who playsย Bard the Bowman. Here’s how Peter Jackson describe the Laketown warrior:ย โ€œHeโ€™s [elven king] Thranduilโ€™s son, and Thranduil is one of the characters in ‘The Hobbit,’ and because elves are immortal it makes sense Legolas would be part of the sequence in the Woodland Realm,โ€ .Interesting move to reveal an image before even the second film has started promotion.

This weekend we will catch the final press preview and look out for our review.ย The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journeyย starsย Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, James Nesbitt, Stephen Hunter, Mark Hadlow, Graham McTavish, Dean Ogorman, Peter Hambleton, Aidan Turner, Jed Brophy, John Callen, Adam Brown, Ken Stott,Cate Blanchett,ย  William Kircher,ย AndySerkis,ย andย Richard Armitage. Synopsis |“The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey” follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever… Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities… A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.
