We can unanimously say Guy Ritchie has lost his way a bit, maybe not for long. Today EFD Films have released the first UK Trailer for The Gentlemen.

Pour yourself a scotch and don your finest threads, as Mr Ritchie goes old school for his latest romp. Missing those diamond geezers, cockney Del boys, this one will do the job. On the 20th anniversary of one of his best crime capers, Snatch what better time to showcase his latest.

The film stars Matthew McConaughey as American ex-pat Mickey who runs a profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out he’s wanting to cash in and retire, Mickey finds himself in a power struggle with those who want his business.

Ritchie is back in familiar territory and maybe a throwback film might win back some old fans. Despite Aladdin being a monster success at the box after the dreadful King Arthur, we need need a reminder. This film has a great cast, extra bonus there’s no David Beckham cameo, or is he…

THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.

The cast also includes Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, and Eddie Marsan, with Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant.

The Gentlemen will be released in the UK and Irish Cinemas from 1st January 2020. In the USA, it will be 24th January 2020.
