Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur concept art

Good-Dinosaur

Jurassic World won’t be the only big dinosaur film landing on our screens next year.  Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur is set to arrive in cinemas on 4th December 2015, and Disney have sent us some beautiful concept art.

Telling the story of Arlo, an Apatosaurus with a big heart, and his adventures with unlikely companion, human boy Spot, this will be the debut film for director Peter Sohn.

The Good Dinosaur was originally set to arrive on our screens in May last year, but after creative challenges with original director Bob Peterson, Sohn was brought on board and the release date was pushed back.  Speaking with The LA Times, Sohn comments on how he took the helm whilst also trying to maintain the spirit of the original version.

When Bob was taken off, I was supporting the film as best I could,” he says. “It felt like, this child, this film still needs to be raised. It was just about how to take care of the thing at that time. Trying to keep the original vision of this film intact and trying to plus it as well.”

We can’t wait to see Sohn’s vision next year!
