Peter Rabbit 2 Is Still Hopping At Top Of Official Film Chart

Peter Rabbit 2 holds at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart to enjoy a second week at the top.

Still flying ahead on digital downloads only, the James Corden and Rose Byrne-led sequel continues to hold as the UK’s biggest film, beating competition from the 2013 animated adventure The Croods (2), which has enjoyed a recent resurgence thanks to the release of its own sequel in cinemas.

The original Space Jam holds at Number 3 for a third consecutive week, as Zack Snyder’s Justice League jumps four places to Number 4, and double film boxset Peter Rabbit 1 & 2 drops to Number 5. The animated and real world collide in Tom & Jerry: The Movie which chases its way back up four places to 6. Godzilla vs. Kong drops to Number 7 and Mortal Kombat sinks to Number 8.

Birds of Prey flies 13 spots to Number 9, returning to the Top 10 for the first time since March thanks to the release of the recent Suicide Squad sequel, and Promising Young Woman rounds off the countdown at Number 10.

The highest brand-new entry on the Official Film Chart comes from British thriller, Six Minutes To Midnight at Number 15. Written by Eddie Izzard and Celyn Jones, and written and directed by Andy Goddard, the WWII-set drama includes Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench and Nigel Lindsay among its cast.
