Saoirse Ronan Makes ‘Bad Choices’ In Bad Apples First Trailer
We all make changes in life that change us for good or bad. In Bad Apples, Saoirse Ronan seems to be making a lot of ‘bad choices’ watch the official UK Trailer from Paramount Pictures.
The Irish actress has played several characters who over the course of the film have made bad choices. Mary Stuart in Mary Queen Of Scots, Briony in Atonement , Christine in Ladybird and Daisy in Violet & Daisy all made choices. In her latest film Bad Apples is directed by Jonatan Etzler in his English language debut. She plays an unsympathetic school teacher whose class becomes derailed all thanks to one foul mouthed student.
The film premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival, with several critics calling it Ronan’s darkest role to date. Slowburn satire with thriller moments and trailer plays up the tonal side of the film.
Synopsis | Maria, a primary school teacher doing her best to inspire a class of 10-year-olds, is stifled by one unruly and chaotic student. With her career in question and the child’s behaviour spiralling, she makes a series of bad decisions that lead to her accidentally taking and locking this “bad apple” in her home. Maria tries desperately to backtrack, but when the class starts flourishing and the staff and parents are thrilled with the improvement, she finds herself in a very complicated predicament.
The film also stars Eddie Waller, Nia Brown, Jacob Anderson, Rakie Ayola, Robert Emms, and Sean Gilder. Bad Apples will be in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas on 18th September.
