โ€œIt has been our great privilege to work with Noah for more than a decade on some of FXโ€™s best and biggest shows, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership well into the future,โ€ FX Chairman John Landgraf shared with Deadline, along with news of a renewed season. ย โ€œNoah never stops surprising us with truly original storiesโ€” and his unique ability to bring them to vibrant life as a director and producer as well as writer makes him extraordinary. We canโ€™t wait to get to work on the next season of Alien: Earth, as well as some equally exciting future projects in advanced development.โ€

Alien: Earth season one ended on a cliffhanger with all the remaining characters trapped with a hybrid (synthetic body combined with a human consciousness), which the next season is expected to immediately pick up on. Filming is scheduled to begin next month in London’s Pinewoods Studios.

There are yet to be reports on which cast members from the first season are returning to join Dinklage.
