Its was very sad news when I heard Patrick Swayze had died. Not to sound morbid but it was just the matter of time the cancer was going to kill him after his long two year battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, thankfully he died peacefully with the people he loved around him.

To me Patrick Swayze was a big iconic figure of 1980’s cinema, he was the only man who could get away with a American wrestling style mullet. Patrick wasnt the greatest of actors but he did put a honest shift in when has was asked, there is a few movies when he’ll be remembered by Dirty Dancing, Point Break and Ghost. But I always remember him in such movies as Red Dawn which is been remade (out late 2010 early 2011) and the Outsiders (Francis Ford Coppola movie) 2 movies which introduced us to actors such as Rob Lowe, C.Thomas Howell and Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen and even Tom Cruise.

I have to say one of my recent memories of Patrick Swayze was his role in Donnie Darkoas the motiovational speaker with the dark secret of been a paedophile.  He was determined to fight the cancer (pancreatic cancer has only a 5% survival rate) and live the longest anyone has done with this cancer type and he was last seen in the cop tv show BEAST which was only shown in the UK on digital channel FIVE USA.

Let’s just remember Patrick Swayze as the actor rather than illness he suffered with, Mr Swayze may you rest in peace. Down below Ive included a few trailers from youtube of some of patrick swayze movies.
