Parkland Entertainment Releasing The Rifleman Watch UK Trailer
Later this month The Rifleman will be released in UK Cinemas, today we take a look at the film’s UK Trailer. Dzintars Dreibergs‘ epic war film through eyes of a 17 year old farm boy who witness the horrors and brutality of War.
Adapted from the book by Aleksandrs Grins, which was banned in the U.S.S.R., the story was based on Grins’ own war experiences in a Latvian battalion. Set in the great war of World War One the stark story of a young farm boy turned soldier. Mother killed and conscripted to fight in the war, growing up in trenches, the stark reality of this war underage.
The film can boast one thing, it’s the top grossing film of all-time at the Latvian box office, even bigger than Titanic! If you enjoyed 1917, this film looks a solid film to watch and see the same war from another perspective.
The Rifleman pays stark witness to the horrors and brutality of the First World War, as seen through the eyes of an innocent 17-year-old farm-boy turned soldier. Though he is underage, and his dad, a former marksman, is overage for the army, they are both conscripted into one of Latvia’s first national battalions. The thrill of training is soon followed by reality, as shells burst around them in the endless mud. He grows up on the battlefield, fighting at the side of his father and brother, their lives are constantly in jeopardy.

The Rifleman will get a limited UK cinema release from 26th July at Showcase Cinemas. Then after that it will be available on digital download from 10th August 2020, and on DVD from 24th August, 2020.
